He is considered a highly influential figure in the\u00a0action film\u00a0genre.\u00a0He first achieved prominence as a stunt performer and coordinator, notably as the key\u00a0stunt double\u00a0for\u00a0Keanu Reeves\u00a0on\u00a0The Matrix (1999) and as the martial arts stunt coordinator on its first two sequels. He subsequently directed the 2014 film\u00a0John Wick,\u00a0starring Reeves, and\u00a0its three sequels.<\/p>\n
